Includes sections on Hans Egede's work among Greenland's Eskimo population, the efforts of Presbyterians in Alaska, and the Franciscan's California missions. Includes an incomplete chapter about Richard Henry Pratt and the schools he established in St. Augustine, Florida, Virginia, and Carlisle, Pennsylvania.
